What's a Learning Agreement?

EMAs To be eligible for an EMA, you must have signed a Learning Agreement that must also be signed by your parent or responsible adult and by the school or college you are studying at.
EMAs The requirement for a parental signature will be waived for students who are estranged from their families and assessed as independent for DSS benefit purposes. The requirement for the student's signature will be waived if the student has special educational needs that make it impractical.
EMAs A new Learning Agreement should be completed for each academic year.
EMAs The Local Authority may discontinue EMA payments where the information supplied by the institution states that you have failed to comply with your Learning Agreement.

EMAA draft EMA Learning Agreement is available to download (pdf 11Kb).
